Yes, on both plans the two sell. The yearly plan was $9 cheaper on the web (18% off the App Store price) and lifetime $100 cheaper (50% off). Think Dirty's help centre says web subscriptions "come with exclusive pricing" and give the same access as the iOS Premium and Android All Access plans, on both platforms, which makes them the better buy if you might switch phones.
| Plan | Help centre (23 October 2026) | US App Store (23 October 2026) | Website (21 October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium, monthly | $2.99 | Premium lines: $2.99, $27.99, $3.99, $29.99, $15.99, $16.99 | not listed |
| Premium, 6 months | $15.99 | not listed | |
| Premium, annual | $28.99 | not listed | |
| All Access, monthly | $6.49 | All Access lines: $6.49, $48.99, $48.99, $8.99 | not listed |
| All Access, 6 months | $35.99 | not listed | |
| All Access, annual | $48.99 | $39.99 (was $59.99) | |
| Lifetime, Clean Beauty Boss | $199.99 | $199 | $99 |
Three small inconsistencies are worth knowing before you pay. The help centre prices lifetime at $199.99; the App Store charges $199. The help centre gives Premium annual as $28.99, a price that does not appear among the App Store's Premium lines ($2.99, $27.99, $3.99, $29.99, $15.99, $16.99). And the two lifetime discounts imply different "regular" prices: "70% off" $199.99 means a regular price of $666.63, while the website's "65% Off" $99 means $282.86. The website's own arithmetic holds where we can check it: $39.99 against $59.99 is 33% off, matching its "Save 33%", and $99 over 10 years is $0.19 a week, matching its footnoted "$0.19 USD / Week".
Monthly billing at $6.49 overtakes the App Store's $48.99 yearly price in month 8, the website's $39.99 yearly price in month 7, the website's $99 lifetime price in month 16, and the App Store's $199 lifetime price in month 31. Between the long plans, lifetime beats yearly in the 3rd year on the website and the 5th year in the App Store. If the website's yearly plan renewed at its struck-through $59.99 rather than $39.99, which the page did not say, web lifetime would win in year 2.
The one that matches how long you will scan. Under 7 months, monthly or the free tier; up to 2 years, yearly on the website; longer, lifetime on the website. If you want Apple to handle billing and refunds, the App Store prices are the cost of that convenience.
1. Decide the horizon first: under 7 months, pay monthly. 2. Check the website price before the in-app button: it listed $39.99/yr and $99 lifetime on 21 October. 3. Web plans work on iOS and Android, per the help centre. 4. Already subscribed in the app? Cancel it in the store before upgrading on the web, or you pay twice. 5. Lifetime has no free trial; the monthly and yearly plans do (1 week and 2 weeks, per the help centre).
Usually because Apple takes a share, though Think Dirty does not say that is its reason. Apple's subscriptions page says a developer receives 70% of an auto-renewable subscription's price in a subscriber's first year and 85% after a year of paid service, and the App Store Small Business Program cuts the commission to 15% for developers with up to 1 million USD in yearly proceeds. At those rates a $48.99 App Store subscription returns $34.29 or $41.64 to the developer, before taxes; the website's $39.99 sits between the two, and the developer pays its own card fees on it.
It sits at the top of the range for ingredient scanners. Yuka's US App Store lists Premium Member at three price points, $10.00, $15.00 and $20.00, without a billing period on the store page; Yuka's independence page says those subscriptions are almost all of its revenue. For how each of these apps is funded beyond subscriptions, see who pays the ingredient apps; for how their scores differ, see our 20-product study.
| App | Plan as listed | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Yuka | Premium Member | $10.00, $15.00 or $20.00 |
| EWG Healthy Living | Premium | $19.99 |
| INCI Beauty | Premium (1 year) | $14.99 |
| SkinSAFE | Premium, monthly or annual | $8.99 or $59.99 |
| Think Dirty | All Access, monthly or yearly | $6.49 or $48.99 |
We read Think Dirty's US App Store in-app purchase list and its help centre's plan list on 23 October 2026, and its website's plan cards on 21 October 2026; on 23 October 2026 the website refused every automated read, so its prices carry the earlier date. Break-even months and years are computed from those prices with charges at the start of each billing period. Prices are US dollars before tax and can differ by country and over time; we did not buy any plan.

Per Think Dirty's help centre, read 23 October 2026: All Access is $6.49 a month, $35.99 for six months or $48.99 a year; Premium is $2.99, $15.99 or $28.99. Lifetime is $199 in the US App Store.
Yes. When read on 21 October 2026, the website listed a yearly plan at $39.99 and lifetime at $99, against $48.99 and $199 in the US App Store. The help centre says web subscriptions work on both iOS and Android.
Only for long-term use. At the website's prices, lifetime ($99) beats paying $39.99 a year from the 3rd year; in the App Store, $199 beats $48.99 a year from the 5th year. Monthly billing passes the web lifetime price in month 16.
Yes. Its help centre says the free version gives access to search and scanning for a limited number of products, plus product lists and ingredient information for many products. Monthly plans add a one-week trial and annual plans a two-week trial; lifetime has none.
Apple keeps a share: its developer pages say developers receive 70% of a subscription's price in a subscriber's first year and 85% after that, or 85% throughout under the Small Business Program. Think Dirty does not state its reason for the price gap.
Think Dirty costs least when bought on its own website, and the gap is widest on lifetime access. Pay monthly if you are trying it, yearly on the web if you will keep it a year or two, and lifetime on the web if you scan for longer. Re-check the website price on the day: it was shown as a reduction, and promotions change.
